Manual (Soft Tissue) Therapy: Relaxation and Bodywork Therapy.
What is Soft Tissue Therapy? Soft Tissue Therapy is the assessment, treatment, and management of the soft tissues of the body (i.e. muscles, fascia, tendons, and ligaments) with the purpose of alleviating musculoskeletal discomfort, restoring and optimizing movement patterns, physical function, and performance. Read more about soft tissue mobilization therapy.
We offer two services:
TuiNa Relaxation Therapy
Designed to help with stress management by using muscle relaxation techniques. Therapy is designed to calm the mind, body, and spirit. The session will utilize TuiNa as a therapy technique. Great for active individuals needing to recover from the psychological stress and anxiety of work, training, or the rigors of daily living.
TuiNa Bodywork Therapy
Designed to treat and alleviate specific musculoskeletal discomfort by utilizing hands-on soft tissue mobilization techniques. The session will utilize TuiNa as a soft tissue treatment technique. Movement Optimization: For athletes, recreational athletes, weekend warriors, cross-fitters, gym-goers, return-to-play athletes, post-rehab patients, or anyone simply seeking to move better, perform better, and live better.
What is Movement Optimization? “The more control you have over your joints, the more control you have over your body. The more control you have over your body, the more control you have over your movements. The more control you have over your movements the better you perform and the less likely your movements will falter. If your movement falters less, then the less likely your chances of injury.” – Dr. Andreo Spina
People regardless of age, gender, or activity need to be able to move freely with minimal physical restrictions. Humans are born to move. If we don’t move and move often then we will eventually lose the capacity to move. In addition, just because we move does not mean we move well. However, we can always teach ourselves how to move well because the human body is highly adaptive. What is noteworthy: Movement will never be perfect. Optimal is not perfect. Optimal is simply most favorable. And since perfection is unattainable, optimal is our next best bet. Read this great article on why healthy movement matters.
We offer four services:
Movement Screen and Assessment: Designed to identify asymmetries and compensatory movement patterns which may result in functional movement deficiencies. The screen will assess foundational movement patterns that require joint movement and positioning, coordination, balance, and strength. Great for athletes, recreational athletes, cross-fitters, gym-goers, return-to-play athletes, post-rehab patients, or anyone that wants to maximize their movement efficiency.

Movement Optimization Therapy: Movement optimization therapy is intended to address any physical restricts that limit your ability to move well and perform at your best. The objective is to restore and expand movement capacity and literacy so that you can reach your performance potential. Whether that is lifting weights, playing beach volleyball on vacation, training for a marathon, playing with your kids, or working around the house. Therapy will include a movement assessment (before the session) integrated with bodywork and exercise. This service is great for athletes, recreational athletes, cross-fitters, gym-goers, return-to-play athletes, post-rehab patients, or anyone simply seeking to move better. Where needed, we will work in collaboration with your fitness or healthcare practitioner to integrate movement strategies within your training or rehab programs. Start enjoying the activities that are meaningful to you!

Research has shown that moving has a positive impact on our nervous, muscular, and cardiovascular systems. Which improves our ability to function! This is not your traditional yoga class. The session is designed to enhance body positioning and movement, balance, coordination, and strength.
